Rules and policies


At William Ross State High School we are committed to a learning environment based on the principles of Be Safe, Be Engaged and Be Respectful. As a result we have school policies in place that clearly outline our expectations. These policies are based on the following:

 
 
 
Our Purpose
To give our students the knowledge, skills and confidence to effectively engage in the local and extended community.
 
Our Values
Through our student we aim to create positive learning experiences through highly structured curriculum and teaching strategies to target advanced learning and improved student outcomes within all students.
 
Be Safe
Provide students with an environment where they can experience positive, personal success through opportunity to engage in the curriculum through the provision of inclusive services in a supportive environment.
 
Be Engaged
Provide differentiated experiences and opportunities to meet each students’ aspiration to learn and achieve to the very best of their ability – experience success.
 
Be Respectful
To be respectful and take personal responsibility for our own actions and decisions. Acknowledge that personal rights come with responsibility and all stakeholders are committed to performance information and evidence focused on improving services. – accountability.
